What does a website cost?

The cost of a website varies dependant on each client's requirements. We offer 3 packages, Bronze, Silver and Gold each of which include different levels based on number of pages and certain components, full details can be found on our packages page on the website design & development page. We offer an initial free consultation to help you decide which package most suits your needs and provide a written fixed fee quotation up front so that your budget is set.

How long does it take to get a website?

The timescales vary according to size and complexity of the website. In our quotation we will detail the delivery date of your website.

What are the maintenance costs on a website?

There are no on-going maintenance charges on our websites. The only ongoing cost considerations are web hosting which we include free for the first year the and domain name fees which, again, we include for the first year.

What is web hosting and how much will it cost?

Web hosting is your presence on the internet. It is where your unique domain name is located and where your site it hosted, allowing access to your site 24 hours a day. Typically, web hosting costs upto £10 per month but it is included in our price for the first year.

What is a domain name how much will it cost?

A domain name is the unique name that identifies an internet site. Domain Names always have 2 or more parts, separated by dots. The part on the left is the most specific, and the part on the right is the most general e.g. mordenwebdesign.com. .com domain names are, typically, more expensive than .co.uk domain names, you can have multiple domain names all pointing to the same website. We include a .co.uk domain name in our price for the first year, after that you can expect to pay around £10 per year for a .co.uk domain name or £20 per year for a .com domain name.

I am currently hosted with another hosting company can I use my existing hosting?

In most cases you can use your existing hosting dependent upon its features.

How do I switch from my current hosting company to your hosting?

We can take care of all the necessary arrangements to switch over your hosting.

Do you offer eCommerce packages?

Yes, we offer full eCommerce packages allowing you to sell goods online and take payments. Please call us to discuss your requirements in further detail.

Do you offer consulting?

Yes we do. Our Free initial consultation is to understand your company and your project. In addition, we also offer more profound consultations for a fee to those companies that need help in formulating their internet and eCommerce strategy.

We provide a complete customer support. If you have any questions about your site or need any kind of help in using it we will be always be available at the other end of the phone or by email. Morden Web Design are based in the beautiful village of Steeple Morden in South Cambridgeshire, near the small market town of Royston. Being an internet business we have clients from all over the UK, but the majority of our work comes from London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
